When a person has passion, courage and the power to do something. Today's youth are the leaders of tomorrow, which is why youth have been given a very important place in Islam. Therefore, guidance of youth has been given great importance in Islam.

The Importance of Youth in Islam

Islam is a universal religion that provides complete guidance in every aspect of life. In Islam, youth is considered a valuable and decisive period of life, because this is the time when a person has the most strength, passion, and desire to do something.

Youth: The Best Time for Action and Worship

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

"Take advantage of five things before five: your youth before old age..."

(Hadith - Mustadrak al-Hakim)

This hadith makes it clear that youth is the most important time for good deeds, learning, and practicing religion. Because in old age, a person becomes weak, but in youth he can use his body, time, and mind in a better way.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the young companions

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had full confidence in the abilities of youth.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam at a young age and always remained with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (RA) was made the commander of a large army at the age of just 18.

Hazrat Muadh bin Jabal (RA) was appointed the governor of Yemen when he was a young man.

All these examples are evidence that Islam not only values youth but also trains them for leadership.

 Message of Islam for Youth

Islam teaches youth to value time, gain knowledge, keep good company, serve their parents, and strive for the advancement of religion. The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"On the Day of Resurrection, seven people will be in the shade of the Throne... one of them will be a young man who spent his youth in the worship of Allah."

(Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)

Youth is a blessing and Islam commands us to value this blessing. If Muslim youth today connect with religion, acquire knowledge and morality, and play a positive role in society, then the Muslim Ummah can once again rise. Youth are the architects of our tomorrow and the hope of today.
