“The Paper”: A New Spin-Off from The Office Lands on Peacock

It appears you're referring to The Paper, an upcoming American mockumentary sitcom set to premiere on Peacock in September 2025. This series is a spin-off from the beloved show The Office, created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. It maintains the original's signature documentary-style format while introducing a new setting and characters

The Paper picks up the lens of the original Office documentary crew as they leave Scranton behind and set their sights on The Truth Teller, a historic but faltering newspaper fighting for survival in the digital age. At the center of this new story is Ned (played by Domhnall Gleeson), a bright-eyed idealist and newly appointed publisher determined to modernize the newsroom and bring it back from the brink.

Opposite Ned is Esmerelda (Sabrina Impacciatore), the tough, seasoned editor-in-chief who’s seen it all — and isn’t sold on Ned’s big ideas. Their dynamic drives much of the tension and comedy, echoing the kind of quirky workplace interactions that made The Office a cultural phenomenon.
